"Hi, I'm Kes. Ever hear of that name? Well, I was named after a character on the cool television show "Star Trek: Voyager". I'm gentle and brave, just like the Kes on the show. I'm not like my sister, Joey, who becomes a quivering lump under the bedcovers at the first sign of the vacuum monster. When I'm not trying to take Joey's shoelace away from her, I like to lie on the tippy-top of our indoor cat tree and stare out the window at the birds."
